Kingfisher Beadwork Necklace (BB119)
The combination of amber and turquoise in all of their shades is one of my favourites, so reminiscent of the kingfisher which is such a beautiful bird. There are some around where I live, on the river Waveney but sadly I have only seen a flash of one once. My photographer friends have more patience - and better skills - than I and I always admire their pictures.
This necklace is worked in circular peyote stitch in various size beads in kingfisher colours and gives the same kind of kingfisher glimpse that I had!
It is 17.5" (450mm) long and fastens with a beaded button and loop.
Whatever your feelings about kingfishers, this is a pretty necklace that will look good worn with neutral shades, browns, navy, lime green and of course turquoise.
