Gemstone meanings

Can gemstone crystals heal? There are many who think they can and I know I always feel much happier when I am working with them creating new pieces, displaying my pieces at craft fairs or wearing my own semi-precious gemstone jewellery. I have no idea how certain qualities became associated with certain stones, but, for the record here is a list of those properties generally acknowledged to belong to each of the stones. I use many of these in my jewellery!

Agates: Balancing physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual energies; perceptiveness, strength, inspiration, awakening talents.

Amazonite: Success, joy, self-expression, awakening heart, soothing, harmony, balancing.

Amber: Soothing, calming, cleansing.
