Pink Russian Spiral Necklace (BW58)
Russian spiral is a stitch that naturally twists around and I love deciding which colour seed beads to place next to each other.
For this I used a mixture of seed beads in pastel pink, salmon and deep raspberry with the teeniest little glass pearls as accents. One stitches around and around, one bead at a time, until the necklace is the right length (it takes ages!) before creating the clasp and weaving it in. Each bead has at least two passes of thread through it making the necklace strong, but very, very light.
The differing shades of pink in this necklace mean it can be worn with any other pink/dark pink/burgundy colour, or a neutral like cream or biscuit.
The necklace is 18.5" (475mm) long, fastening with a handstitched toggle clasp.
There are no metal parts so this can be worn by everyone - including those with metal allergies.
Team it with navy or grey for work or a dusky pink top for going out!
