Picture Stone Jasper Pendant (LS81)
Because of the way jasper is formed - through crystals of jasper forming in cracks in rocks as they move over time (eons of time!) it is probably one of the most varied semiprecious stones in terms of colour and patterning.
The various minerals which become incorporated can result in some fabulous patterns and this pendant is a good example. It looks for all the world like a Japanese water colour.
The stone is 5cm x 4.5 cm, rounded and polished on the front and flat on the back. I've suspended it, with a sterling silver bail, from simple black leather cord with a sterling silver S hook clasp. The necklace is 19" (484mm) long.
This will look fabulous over a neutral coloured fine knit jumper or polo neck - or wear it with black.
