Amazonite and Matt Jasper Knotted Necklace (LS109)
Sometimes the most innocuous thing can ignite the creative spark. I had two cards of coloured card out on my worktable and thought - those colours work really well together. Then I searched through my stocks of stones and found these fabulous flat, shiny, roughly faceted amazonite stones (each 2cm across) and these matt reddish brown jaspers (10mm) and - bingo!
I chose the blue cord to knot them with, adding in some smaller round amazonite stones at the back of the necklace. I'm really pleased with this - it's not something I set out to create, it just happened!
It's a day to day type of necklace, really comfortable to wear and, with each stone knotted between, it has a nice drape.
The necklace is 20" (510mm) long and fastens with a twisted wire Karen Hill Tribe silver toggle clasp. (Karen silver has a higher pure silver content than sterling).
