The stones were cut and drilled by my lapiderist contact, here in the UK (though lapis comes originally from afghanistan). I keep him a closely guarded secret.
This necklace is very wearable - I've knotted the stones on blue silk ribbon, tied it to two hammered silver (handmade - but not by me!) rings and attached a chunky silver chain to make it comfortable to wear. The whole is finished with a hammered silver toggle clasp. (All the metal parts are sterling silver).
I could make some wearing suggestions - but quite honestly you could wear this with anything at any time. It's funky enough for artsy daytime trips (to a gallery perhaps) and stunning enough to knock 'em dead at an evening function. Or just to the office!
