Starry Days and Nights Necklace (SS87)
A series of beadwork stars in wedgewood blues are joined with sterling silver rings and suspend from a sterling silver chain to make a necklace that is perfect for summers by the sea.
The technique was created by the very talented Jean Power who I invited to take a workshop here in Bungay. Beaders from all over Norfolk and Suffolk attended - we had a great day. I then spent the next couple of weeks making this necklace.
Jean is not at all precious about people using her techniques then offering their work for sale - so here we have Starry Days and Nights. The patterns are my own. I used the same three colours, dark, lighter and very light blue throughout, but reversing the colours on the other side, so the necklace can be worn either way around.
The stars are on a sterling silver chain with a hook clasp, so it can be worn shorter if need be.
Just turn the necklace around after wearing for sightseeing during the day for your evening stroll to your restaurant of choice for the evening!
The necklace is 21" (545mm) long.
UPDATE: This necklace was chosen to accompany an image of a dress on Twitter!
