Opaque Ruby and Garnet Necklace (SM20)

The colours in these opaque Rubies range from a dusky pink to a lovely raspberry red. Each stone is different and each has its own delights. These are genuine Rubies but obviously not the fine gemstone Rubies that come with a much higher price tag!

I've used Garnet to space the beads, with tiny Garnet rounds and saucer shaped beads which complement the Rubies beautifully and add shine and translucence to the necklace.

The necklace is 17.5" (444mm) long with a hammered silver toggle clasp from the Karen Hill Tribe in Thailand. This silver is purer than sterling and the hammered effect of the silver matches the freeform uncut beauty of the Rubies.
