Mookaite Necklace (LS58)  Sorry - now sold! Enlarge Image Enlarge Image Enlarge Image Enlarge Image Mookaite, a form of jasper mined in Australia, has a wealth of earthy colours in it, from deep burgundy through ochre to the palest stone colour. It's relative hardness makes it a good stone for cutting into different shapes and here I have put sticks of mookaite with small mookaite buttons. The effect is one of life and movement and it looks absolutely stunning on. You could wear this to work or for any occasion that demands a smart casual look. But you could also wear it to dress up a plain wool top or jersey dress. The necklace is 20" (515mm) long and the beads are strung on an ochre coloured silk, all finished with gold vermeil with a gold vermeil (18ct gold on sterling silver) trigger clasp. Sorry - now sold!
