Matt Black Onyx DropsNecklace (SM132)
These matt black onyx teardrops are so unusual. The are long - around 2.5cm and wide - about 12mm, and beautifully rounded. My original intention was to knot them with black cord but then the red jumped out at me and yes - that was what they wanted to be knotted with!
I have teamed them with small round onyx stones - also in matt black and finished the necklace off with a lovely Karen Hill Tribe silver hammered toggle clasp. (Karen silver has a higher pure silver content than sterling).
The necklace is 18.5" (480mm) long, measuring on the inside. And I've made a little pair of earrings to match, which have dyed red howlite rondelles in the middle to echo the red knots.
Quite striking! Would wow at parties!
