Lapis Lazuli Necklace 'Queen of the Night' (BH38)  Sorry - now sold! Enlarge Image Enlarge Image Enlarge Image Enlarge Image Lapis lazuli is so popular - the last two necklaces I made using this beautiful stone sold immediately at the most recent craft fairs I did. And no wonder - the deep blue of the lazurite (the mineral within it which gives it its name) is so rich that kings and queens have treasured it since ancient times. Lapis lazuli often contains other minerals too, most notably pyrite and the stones in this necklace have quite distinct flecks of gold pyrite within them. I have chosen to contrast them with shiny silvery hematite to add a further mystical dimension! The diamond shaped stones work very well with the facetted hematite, making this quite a 'designery" necklace but very wearable. Although I have given it quite a grand title, it can be worn at any time of day or night and would complement any outfit, from jeans to an evening dress! The necklace is 18" (457mm) long and fastens with a sterling silver 'S" clasp. Sorry - now sold! Bought this item? Review it! Recommend to a friend   You May Also Like...
