Labradorite, Rock Crystal, White Jade Bracelet 'Silver Surfer' (SS39)
A random mix of labradorite, rock crystal (crystal quartz), white jade and silver combine to make this lovely chunky bracelet.
Each semiprecious nugget is spaced between tiny sterling silver beads (to allow for fluidity of movement) and large Greek ceramic beads, coated in fine silver. These beads are fired three times, first the clay firing, then a layer of copper is applied and the beads are fired again, and then a layer of fine silver is applied and the beads are fired again. They are very hard-wearing but because they are silver the same cleaning rules apply - polish with a soft silver cloth when tarnishing appears.
I love this chunky bracelet with its muted silvery tones - the name 'Silver Surfer" just came to me!
The necklace is between 8" and 7.5" long (190mm) measuring the outside and inside including the clasp which is a Karen Hill Tribe silver (between 95% and 99% pure silver) hook and eye clasp.
