Garnet and Rose Quartz Necklace and Earrings (AB11)
The name Garnet derives from the Latin "Granatum" which means pomegranate. Red garnets are what we think of when we think of garnet, although it also comes in browns (Hessonite Garnet) and greens (Grossular - from the Latin, meaning gooseberry).
This is a very fruity stone, especially when you learn that it is associated with increased sexuality! Here it is teamed with rose quartz (for love), making it a wonderful gift, especially for those with a January birthday.
This necklace comprises a variety of garnet shapes with little rose quartz buttons between the smooth ovals in the inner strand. The two strands are caught in a pair of filigree silver beads and the necklace finishes with a twisted wire sterling silver toggle clasp. The matching earrings are on simple sterling silver earposts.
The necklace (measuring from the inner strand) is 17.5" (444mm) long.
