The little emerald green lozenge shaped green aventurines are facetted to catch the light and this pretty necklace does have a lovely sparkle.

The tiny round beads are a paler green prehnite and both the aventurine, of a particularly fine quality, and the prehnite are transluscent.

This would make a great alternative to emerald for those looking for a gift for a May birthday or anniversary.

Aventurine, a form of quartz, is said to be a stone for prosperity and prehnite of prophesy. Hmm - would wearing this help visualise those winning lottery numbers?
