The new Basics range has proved very popular at the Craft Fairs I've taken them to. They really do answer a need for those times when the outfit itself doesn't want the jewellery to compete but to complement.

And as semi-precious stones come in such a huge variety of colours I really can make something that will go with any outfit.

Not only that, if anyone is into crystal healing, I'm adding some details of what the stones can do for you. So if anyone suffers from having to slave over a hot computer, for example, an amazonite necklace might help, or if you're feeling forgetful, then rhodonite might be the solution. Smoky quartz could help alleviate headaches and if you just need to let off steam - wear jade!

These necklaces feel lovely on - being knotted onto silk they drape very nicely and would lovely with either a business suit or more casual wear.

I love knotting and whilst I do like working with pearls, it is a treat for me to work with so many different stones, knotting away with my silks, creating this new range - which already feels classic to me. I may have to rename the range as DiDi Classics! hand knotted gemstone necklaces
