These are fabulous slabs of chrysoprase, in all of their au naturale beauty. The shadings and variations within them put me i mind of disused slipways down to the sea, now covered in lichens and mosses.

I've teamed them with lapis lazuli to really bring out the pistachio green colour of the chrysoprase. I know my mother always taught me that blue and green should never be seen - but we see them together in nature all the time and, sorry mum, but it is one of my favourite colour combinations.

These chrysoprase beads were sourced from a supplier who used to mine them in Australia (from where they originate) which might explain how I was able to find such lovely examples of this wonderful stone. (Can you tell I like it?).

The necklace is 18.5" (470mm) long and is finished with a Karen hill tribe (95% - 99% pure) silver hook and eye clasp.
