Chrysoprase and Karen Hill Tribe Silver Necklace (SS50)

I met a local jewellery artists recently. He can do amazing things with metal and often exhibits his stunning jewellery in galleries. Whilst I do admire contemporary jewellery designs I am too much of a romantic at heart to want to go in that direction myself. (Not that keen on working with blow torches and welding tools either!).

For me there is so much beauty to be found in nature, echoed in the beautiful colours of semi-precious gemstones, that I could (and probably will) spend a lifetime in wonder at what nature can do.

This piece, of beautiful pea-green (some say apple) chrysoprase brings to mind the bright green lichen covered posts and old capstans on our lovely shoreline. Here I've spaced them with little tubes of Karen Hill Tribe silver to create a necklace of beguiling simplicity.

The necklace is 17" (432mm) long, fastened with a Karen Hill Tribe silver toggle. Wear it to the office, on holiday, going out...
