Botswana Agate with Smoky Quartz Necklace (D26)

Botswana agate is one of the most intriquing of agates. It has the banding associated with agates with the colours deriving from all sorts of other quartzes. Its colour spectrum ranges from white to grey to brown.

The Botswana agate nuggets and little rounds I have used here remind me of the shingles on our Eastern coastlines and the subdued colours are reminiscent of our beaches in an early morning light. I've placed some pale smoky quartz here too, carved into flower shapes - because the more you look the more you see.

The necklace is finished with a Karen Hill Tribe silver flower clasp (purer silver than sterling). It is 20" (508mm) long and looks lovely with peachy pinks, creams or any colour in the beige palette.
