Apatite, Aquamarine, Chalcedony and Celestite Necklace and Earrings (SS34)
This necklace is a symphony of blues, from the teal blue of the apatite rondelles, the pale blue of the tiny round aquamarine beads, the celestial blue of the celestite (from which it derives its name) and the natural sky blue of the chalcedony.
The matching earrings highlight the beauty of the celestite - a comparatively rare stone found only in Madagascar while the necklace features three chunks of also relatively rare blue chalcedony. Each of the celestite and chalcedony beads are strung with sterling silver beads and bead caps to bring out the inherent dreaminess of the stones. This is one gorgeous necklace!
Celestite is thought by crystal workers to be one of the most powerful stones there are, bringing harmony and happiness whilst chalcedony brings feelings of benevolence and generosity. All the stones bring harmony of one kind or another and they certainly work in harmony together here.
This necklace is a perfect match for autumn/winter 2011 colours Deep Teal and Orchid Hush.
The necklace is just over 18" (465mm) long and fastens with a sterling silver toggle clasp. The earrings, on sterling silver ear posts with sterling butterfly backs have a drop of 1.25" (35mm)
