"Sea Palling" Iolite and Hessonite Garnet Multistrand Necklace (SS26)
Little buttons of midnight blue iolite buttons are teamed with cinnamon hessonite garnet in this stunning multistrand necklace.
The multiple strands at the front of the necklace, three of iolite and one of hessonite, with the hessonite bleeding into the iolite at the ends, fall from hammered oxidised sterling silver bead caps, with sterling wire wrapped to form the attachment for the two strands which form the back of the necklace.
This design is reminiscent of the last of the sun's rays, low over a sea darkened by storm clouds. Sea Palling is one of the pretty seaside villages on the North Norfolk coast, now threatened by coastal erosion.
Hessonite garnet is said to inspire self-confidence and to bring out one's true nature, whilst iolite is supposed to help release your creativity. How could one be anything but one's confident, creative self whilst wearing this beautiful necklace?
The length is 18" (457mm), finished with a slightly oxidised sterling silver toggle clasp.
