"Moth" Aventurine and Yellow Jade Necklace (D04)

This pretty little necklace of orange aventurine and pale yellow jade was inspired by a beautiful moth which alighted on my office wall one evening. It obligingly remained for a little while - long enough for me to take the photograph - before finding its way out of the window into the warm night air.

When I saw these jade marquise drops I just knew that this was the necklace to make!

Aventurine, it is said, enhances your ability to relate to others on an emotional level and is a good stone for leaders and counsellors as it reinforces leadership qualities and decisiveness. Jade is one of the best stones, or so I am told, for reducing stress.

The necklace is 17" (432mm)long and is finished with a little gold vermeil hook clasp.
