"Flamingo" Peruvian Opal and Pink Jasper Necklace (CG15)
Pink Peruvian opal is found in the Andes and is relatively rare. Here I've used Peruvian opal chips with more readily available pink and grey jasper cut in diamond shapes 30mm square. I think the two stones work wonderfully together!
I've called this necklace "Flamingo". There aren't that many flamingoes in our neck of the woods but there is a very pretty alpina clematis called Pink Flamingo for all you garden lovers out there!
This necklace is 21" (545mm) long and fastens with a square cut Karen Hill Tribe* silver hook clasp.
* Karen Hill Tribe silver is handmade by artisan silversmiths in Thailand. I order my Karen Hill Tribe silver directly from them via a Fair Trade co-operative scheme. The silver is 95%-99% pure (sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver).
